If you want to keep a dog in North Rhine-Westphalia that is taller than 40 cm or weighs more than 20 kg, belongs to a certain breed or is considered dangerous, you must, among other requirements, have proof of competence.

The companion dog test, also known as BH, is an entry requirement for many dog ​​sports such as agility, obedience and working dog sports. The expertise must be passed once by each dog handler; this can be done independently of the practical part.
